I love the quote: “it really isn’t how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get up.”

That is incredibly inspiring to me, and it’s exactly the kind of thinking that gets me through hard times.

Thanks for this. My girlfriend and I had a baby our senior year of high school. We are both going to college now, I am a nursing major and she is a dental hygienist major and we both intend to take our educations further with masters degrees and possibly doctorate degrees. We both work part time jobs and work our tails off. We have supportive parents but we know it is a rough road we have chosen but one we know that we must take in order to provide a solid future for our child. I have been hesitant to tell about my shortcoming, afraid of what the scholarship committees would think. Now I am going to tell about my 16 month old baby girl.
